Family Reunion 2009

The boys with their beautiful truck

Everyone came home and we had an amazing race, we divided into teams and everyone got clues that led there team to the destination, we played for 3 days, and the winning teams got cash or prizes, the orange team won the final. we went to the eye of the needle.... Oakley KS. went waterskiing, and had a competition on the water, every team member had to water ski, build a pyramid while being pulled on a tube, catch water balloons from the jet ski. and then the competition to see who could stay on the tube, we went shooting rifle , and skeet, miniature golfing and packed as much fun in as we could. This was a super fun time and it felt so good to have everyone home again.

Its been a while so I figured I better get you all up to date. Last weekend was Lanes graduation and the kids were able to come back home to help celebrate with us, we had lots of fun with them here. School is over this week for the little boys! here comes summer. The boys hatched about 20 chickens the last couple weeks and have had a lot of fun watching them and taking care of them. Everything else is going great the family is wonderful and we can't wait for summer.

Hey family I just wanted to say hello and let you all know that the sun came out the last 3days here in good ol rexburg & started melting some snow! We saw hope of spring right up until it started snowing like CRAZY! So I just wanted to let you all know Im doing good and surviving in sometimes boring always freezing rexburg even though my family is on the ski hill right now, my brothers are in san diego, and my sister pretty much lives in a vacation (minus the relief society pres. calling) all is well! I hope you all are thinking of me! Much love Brookey

Stories from the Sunshine State!

Hello Family!
A warm hello from the Andersen's. I wanted to give everyone an update & share my new recipe.
Easy Hawaiian Chicken:
1 (10 oz.) jar apricot jam or (apricot pineapple)
1 (8 oz.) jar Russian Salad dressing (wish-bone)
1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
6-8 boneless skinless chicken breasts (I use thighs)
Mix it all together to form a sauce then pour over chicken in
a 9x13 pan. Bake 350 for 1 hour, or until tender. Serve with rice or
potatoes. Use extra sauce as a gravy. Can also do in crockpot on high
for 4-6 hours. Enjoy!!

Now for the cute pictures of your favorite grandson and nephew! I lost the pictures off my camera of Kade being a little chef, falling in the toilet, folding his arms and lots of other cute ones, oh well, I still have a million more. So basically he is still the king of the porcelain throne and master at making messes! Everywhere he goes he has to take his blankets. that's right not 1 but ALL of them! And usually Boose (the moose), Whiffer and Elmo. He is talking a ton and is so curious! Mike is doing well in school, He says this is by far the hardest semester and I probably see him a total of 2 hours each day. I did manage to squeeze an hour out of his Friday nights & signed us up for Ballroom dancing classes! Sweet huh!! Besides school, church and Mom/Wife I stay very busy. I used to think that stay at home mom's did nothing all day. Isn't that funny! Well, we would LOVE visitors! Looking forward to those boys getting A's so we can have some company. I hope you all aren't frozen to the ground, just know I am thinking about you as I sweat my brains out during my morning jog and trying not to get a sunburn, then coming home and jumping in the pool with Pretty Ricky! We Love and miss you all!  Mike, Britt & Kade
All 8 of his blankets & Whiff & Boose

Does this remind you of someone we know? Chasing every animal he sees..He must have learned that from an Uncle!

Wouldn't sit in it when he was a baby, but after the neighbor dropped it by because her little boys is done with it, he jumped right in.
LOVES the shower. Anytime. Cries outside the door 'til you let him in or he jumps in by himself.

Orlando Temple. One of my favorites! so Beautiful!
